Start.Pivot.Grow. is a new Micro Accelerator providing business assistance and access to capital-program for small businesses across North Texas. The goal of this program is to help you start a new venture, pivot in a new direction to sustain your operation, or grow and expand your business through accelerated education and ongoing business advising, technical assistance and access to business resources.

As a partner of Dallas College our firm is able to help new entrepreneurs and small business owners navigate resources throughout the community to help fill the gaps, remove barriers and build strong businesses.

 

The program asks participants to commit to completing a few steps to gain access to valuable resources and tools.

 

1. Step 1: applicants complete a short needs assessment

2. Step 2: complete a series of in-person workshops at Dallas College and partner sites across North Texas; and identify achievable milestones and goals

3. Step 3: attend online MasterMind sessions with local business leaders

4. Step 4: prepare pitch deck to apply for the Pitch It! Texas $10,000 grant competition

 

Program participants will receive access to technology and tools including LivePlan business planning software and an online curriculum, an opportunity to compete in the 2023 Pitch It! Texas pitch competition for a chance to win $10,000 and ongoing technical support provided by CynthiaNevels.com and our partners.

Workshop 1

Evaluate the Health of Your Business ​

You don't know what you don't know. Some of today's million dollar ventures are led by entrepreneurs who made missteps and mistakes due to lack of knowledge on how to effectively manage a business. 

​

The accelerator workshops introduce experts who can help you streamline your business model, identify your true mission, identify your business needs and set accomplishable milestones to reach your goals.

After successfully completing the assessment and evaluation, attendees are invited to schedule free one-on-one sessions with senior business advisors who will provide technical assistance to meet milestones and accomplish goals.
