Cynthia E. Nevels Foundation
I launched my businesses over 20 years ago after returning to Texas from Silicon Valley following the dotcom bust. I wanted to develop brands and companies that did more to help small to midsize women and minority owned businesses thrive while accessing valuable resources I had the opportunity to use over my 30 year career.
Drawing on my experiences and on conversations with business owners from around the world, I have developed programs and initiatives that invest in the success and sustainability of women-owned and minority-owned small businesses by providing:
Access to Capital
Over 20 years, I have helped small business owners raise over $30 million in capital, develop successful business plans, navigate disaster relief funding and so much more. Our new foundation offers grants, scholarships and social impact investing opportunities.
Entrepreneurial Education
Our ongoing partnership with local community colleges such as Dallas College, Tarrant County College, Houston College and the Goldman Sachs’s 10,000 Small Businesses program provides women and minority small-business owners with business and management education.
Technical Assistance
My Cynthia E. Nevels Foundation offers opportunities for small business owners to network with business leaders and other entrepreneurs seeking to grow and scale their enterprises or obtain free advice to help build stronger businesses and impact economic development in key urban communities and opportunity zones.
For over 20 years, I have poured into women and minority owned businesses by providing technical assistance, business advising, resources and removing barriers. The Cynthia E. Nevels Foundation was founded to create a mechanism to do more in the communities we serve and to fill the poverty gap. It has always been about sharing and empowering all by providing resources and tools to level the playing field for women and minority entrepreneurs. I want to help you grow your business. Strong entrepreneurs and good businesses with solid infrastructure and foundations benefit local families, communities and, in turn, all of us.
Thank you for your interest in the Foundation! We hope you will join us in our mission by donating to the 501(c)3, sharing the word about our micro grant program or volunteering.
Through our partnership with our fiscal sponsor and partner, Players Philanthropy Fund (PPF) we are a 501(c)3 and can now accept tax-deductible donations to help us fill the need in the business community. Help small businesses and donate today.
